LOCATION & DIRECTIONS
The festival village is located at the Wilmington Recreation Park, located just off Springfield Rd near the center of town. Once you arrive in Wilmington, look for “Bike Fest” signage which will be located at all intersections to direct you toward the festival village.
SCHEDULE
We’ve tried hard to design a festival schedule that maximizes opportunities for those that want to ride bikes until they drop, while allowing ample time for those of you on a more relaxed pace to explore the area and enjoy the music and other activities. We expect beautiful weather (locals are fond of saying “it’s always sunny in Wilmington”) but keep in mind all activities will be “rain or shine”.
On Friday night most everyone heads to Hardy Road for the “Hardy Hour” group ride (shuttles not provided). Local ambassadors will be on hand to provide directions and ride suggestions.
Saturday is all about RIDING BIKES. Generally all the rides wrap-up by 5pm, giving you some time to recover and get ready for the tunes in the park and related festivities.
Sunday features morning group rides as well as the Hardy Kids MTB Race (see below for more info about this). Sunday afternoon the action moves to the Poor Man’s Downhill for shuttles starting at 1pm, based about 1 mile from the festival site.
The registration fee includes everything you need for the weekend including on-site camping, a sweet festival t-shirt, stickers, access to food, brews, group rides & shuttles and sanitary facilities.
