Jenksville State Forest

Trail Description

Jenksville State Forest encompasses 1349 acres of land in the towns of Berkshire and Newark Valley in northeastern Tioga County. These rolling trails are maintained by the Friends of Jenksville volunteer group.  These trails see a lot of equestrian use, and generally take a while to dry out after rain.  In 2012, the DEC has initiated a project to improve the trail surface for many miles of trail.

Mountain bikes are not allowed on snow-covered trails in Jenskville, and e-bikes are not allowed on any Region 7 NYS forest multi-use trails.
